STUDENT STUDY CLUB “MACROKNOW”

Main objectives
The main aim of the club is to develop knowledge related to finance, banking, accounting, and management in theoretical and practical aspects. The specific objectives of the student study club “MacroKnow” include the following:
- To integrate the student community interested in finance, banking, accounting management
- To enable the members of the club to develop and deepen their knowledge of financial management in a contemporary enterprise
- To acquire practical decision-making skills necessary to achieve the strategic objective of maximising shareholder value, with the need to carry out prior analyses in the decision-making process of a contemporary enterprise
- To disseminate the acquired knowledge and assist those interested in finance and banking
- To cooperate with the Faculty of Management student study clubs and other organisations at home and abroad
- To develop the scientific and social activities of the club’s members and improve their organisational and teamwork skills
- To enable the members of the club to achieve self-fulfilment, gain the required experience, professionalism and good practice solutions in the field of corporate financial management, banking and accounting
- To learn about the functioning of companies, banks and financial institutions in Poland.
Club activities
- Organisation of numerous scientific workshops in the series “Knowledge-Practice-Success” with practitioners from, for example, GUS (Polish Central Statistical Office), NBP (Polish National Bank), ARR (Polish Regional Development Agency), ZUS (Polish Social Insurance Institution), US (Polish Tax Office), KNF (Polish Financial Supervision Authority), Banking Law Centre or the Polish Institute of Human Rights and Business
- Organisation of a cyclical nationwide scientific conference combining the research results of young scientists with business panels
- Development and publication of the newsletter of the student study club “MacroKnow”
- Publication of scientific articles by club members
- Organisation of specialist training courses for club members
- Participation of club members in thematic competitions
- Participation in field trips (ZF Financial Centre, WSE, etc.)
- Developing financial passions and openness to the ideas of club members.
