  • Management accounting – a course in the second-cycle study programme

  • Budgeting in business – a course in the first-cycle study programme
  • Budgeting and financial planning in business – a course in the first-cycle study programme
What is the ICV?

The ICV (International Controller Verein) is one of the largest international organisations of controlling professionals. It has representatives in more than 30 countries and integrates more than 6,000 members and more than 150 corporate members.

Who is the ICV for?

The ICV is the place for the development of modern controlling. The ICV is there for everyone involved in controlling, finance, accounting, and management. Controllers, researchers, students, professors, managers and CFOs benefit alike from the active membership in the association. The ICV integrates people from the same background who do not normally work together, but together they become even better.

Purpose of the ICV

Theory and practice, thinking and action – the strength of the ICV lies in exchanging ideas. Brainstorming, talking, discussing – refining proven methods and developing alternatives, addressing current problems and inspiring. The goal of the ICV is to move forward, not stand still. As a non-profit association, the ICV does not pursue a commercial purpose. It focuses on personal career development and the development of the businesses of its members.

The ICV solid foundation and expertise

The exclusive representative in Poland of the International Controllers Association (ICV) is the company Akademia Controllingu Sp. z o.o., which provides access to advanced training programmes in line with ICV standards.

The ICV provides continuous professional and personal support to ensure that members have up-to-date knowledge of the latest controlling trends and tools. The ICV offers its members a platform for exchanging experiences, access to specialised publications and innovative solutions in the field of controlling, and participation in congresses and expert, industry and regional working group meetings.

Benefits of ICV membership and cooperation

Membership in the ICV provides access to practical knowledge and the opportunity to exchange experiences with specialists from various industries, as well as support in work and personal development. Furthermore, it provides knowledge of current trends in management, which guarantees an information advantage for ICV members.

The ICV association offers great opportunities for development thanks to joining a prestigious national and international network of professionals.

Numerous examples of the careers of ICV members show that involvement in the ICV pays off and will certainly be an important step and driving force of the development path for everyone.

Information, events and international community

The association’s work revolves around working groups. The ICV members meet regularly, several times a year, as part of the work of more than 60 Regional Working Groups in Poland and Europe. These meetings are a platform for ICV members to exchange knowledge, experience and contacts. In addition, the ICV has 16 expert, 7 sectorial and several thematic (POLAND) working groups, in which leading practitioners, consultants and academics participate. Expert and sector working groups develop new, practically focused controlling solutions in their area of operation. The ICV also hosts the association’s think tank DREAM FACTORY, which, under the leadership of Professor Ronald Gleich and Professor Heimo Losbichler, focuses on the challenges of the future of controlling, for example, related to the latest topics of BIG DATA, digitalisation, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and industry 4.0.

Valuable knowledge and solutions are developed in working groups – both regional, thematic, sectorial and expert groups – to which all members have access.

In the official “ICV Controller Statements” and a series of new publications, the ICV provides solid guidance for controller work. The “ICV White Papers” and “Dream Car Reports” keep abreast of the current discussion on the latest developments.
