If logistics is your true passion and you want to explore it at a higher level, studying logistics will give you that opportunity. If you have already completed a bachelor’s degree and already have knowledge of logistics, transport, procurement and distribution system organisation, or if you have graduated from another field of studies but are simply interested in logistics, then this study programme is for you. In choosing the master's degree in logistics, you will look at these areas from a broader perspective: you will deepen your knowledge of today's global supply chains, solutions and methods as well as the technologies used in logistics worldwide. You will gain a better understanding of material and information flow mechanisms, learn how to solve complex logistics problems and operate in the context of today's economic environment. You will improve your practical skills in managing modern logistics systems in different types of companies. You will combine logistics, economic, IT and organisational knowledge. In short, you will become a logistics specialist with competencies confirmed by a university degree, ready to work in management positions in any area related to logistics.

Specialisation in Supply Chain Management

In this specialisation, you will acquire a broad knowledge of supply chain design, planning, execution, control and monitoring in the context of information, product and service flows. In the specialisation, you will learn about the integrated management of logistics flow sequences, logistics service activities from suppliers to final customers, etc.

You will

  • acquire skills to solve logistics problems and learn how to apply the knowledge you have acquired in the process of managing business entities.

Your future

As a graduate of this specialisation, with your knowledge and practical skills, you will have a chance to be employed as an operations manager, responsible for implementing processes in the supply chains of production and service companies. The acquired competencies will also allow you to develop your career in public sector entities.

Specialisation in Logistics Management in Trade and Distribution

As a student of this specialisation, you will acquire knowledge and practical skills in the operation of modern logistics systems in industry and trade. You will learn how to design and optimise logistics processes and how to efficiently control the flow of information in supply chains. You will learn the basics of warehouse and transport management and will be able to organise sales and distribution management structures. You will master the use of IT in distribution and sales processes and understand logistics project management. You will also learn about the specifics of the logistics profession and the requirements of the interaction between people and organisations in terms of logistics customer service.

In this specialisation, you will acquire knowledge and practical skills in courses such as the optimisation of transport processes, trade negotiations, partnership marketing in trade and distribution, mergers and acquisitions or logistics controlling. These courses are taught by experienced academic staff who have been conducting research projects for many years. They are authors of works that have made a significant contribution to the development of logistics. Their works include many books, university scripts, academic textbooks and several hundred articles, also of educational value. Your classes will take place in modern classrooms, equipped with audiovisual equipment and laboratories, such as Virtual Enterprise, which is equipped with RFID hardware and software.

Your future

As a specialisation graduate, you will be prepared for managerial positions in organisations where organisational, logistics, economic and IT knowledge is required. You will be able to apply for positions such as a sales specialist, export manager, distribution planning analyst, transport dispatcher, etc. You will have the opportunity to be employed in transport-forwarding-logistics companies, logistics centres, functional units of the distribution area of industrial, manufacturing, trade and service companies as well as in many other economic entities dealing with trade and distribution in the broad sense, including logistics operators.

Additional information

As a student of this specialisation, you will also have the opportunity to continuously deepen your interests by participating in the activities of the study clubs “Logistyk[IS2] ” (Logistician) (more information) and “Incoterms” (more information ). As part of your activities in the study clubs, you will have the opportunity to participate in periodically organised meetings, workshops and seminars. So, if you want to spend your time creatively, choose one of these clubs and get started.

Specialisation in Logistics Information Management

The specialisation in Logistics Information Management will enable you to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about planning, organising, controlling and improving the flow of information resources in the logistics processes of modern organisations. You will learn about the principles of the organisation and functioning of logistic processes and will acquire skills in analysing and designing information flows that support logistics management. Classes in the specialisation in Logistics Information Management are mainly of practical value and enable you to understand the role and importance of information in logistics processes. As part of the specialisation, you will have the opportunity to learn about the practical implementation and information support of logistics processes through the use of various information systems (e.g., ERP – Merit and SAP). The knowledge and skills acquired in the specialisation will enable you to play a leadership role in information management and control support of logistics processes carried out in a digital environment.
