By choosing this study programme, you will learn about a company and its components in terms of occupational health and safety. You will study occupational diseases, learn to assess work risks in different workplaces, and become familiar with the job of a work health and safety specialist. You will also learn (using different methods) how to investigate workplace accidents and how to eliminate workplace hazards using the latest developments in technology and occupational medicine.

Student study club “Promotor Jakości” (Quality Promoter)

As a member of this club, you can visit and learn about the production specifics of various industrial plants; you can participate in many interesting lectures and workshops related to, among others, the preparation of Quality Management Systems and Work Health and Safety documentation; you can participate in scientific conferences, symposia, and other events organised by the Chair of Production Engineering and Safety; you can attend training courses and workshops for internal auditors of quality, environment and work safety management systems; you can also start writing scientific articles.

Student study club “Bezpieczny Krąg” (Safe Circle)

As a member of this club, you can participate in conferences and scientific seminars thematically related to work health and safety, and you can attend meetings and lectures organised by the Faculty of Management staff in cooperation with work health and safety specialists.

Specialisation in Work Health and Safety Management

By choosing this specialisation, you will gain knowledge about contemporary work health and safety management concepts, learn to design, implement and audit work health and environmental protection management systems, and become familiar with tools for the improvement and integration of these systems.

You will learn

After the specialisation, you will possess competences in the application of modern systemic solutions in work health and safety management. You will be able to develop a workplace safety and environmental protection policy, design work health and safety and environmental protection management systems, and prepare a schedule for their implementation. You will be able to easily design an audit model for a work safety and environmental protection management system and develop principles for implementing the model into the organisation's management practice. Having completed the specialisation in work health and safety management, you will be able to select, apply and evaluate methods and tools for improving a selected aspect of the work health and safety and environment management system. You will be able to design a system to monitor working conditions and evaluate health, safety and environmental protection management systems according to different standards. You will be able to develop documentation for an integrated system and prepare an action plan.

After the specialisation in Work Health and Safety Management, you will be prepared to work in the field of human health and life protection in a working environment and especially in work health and safety services.

Specialisation in Education in Work Health and Safety

In choosing the specialisation in Education in Work Health and Safety, you will learn about the organisation of training, modern training methods and techniques, the design and construction of educational packages, training performance assessment tools, and the use of information technology in training. After the specialisation, you will be able to construct a model training programme in work health and safety, taking into account the type and form of training, and apply various forms of participant learning methods and group work techniques. You will find it easy to carry out such training or to prepare and conduct a training game or role-play. You will learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of your training using different approaches, construct tools to evaluate the effectiveness of your training at the level of the whole organisation, and assess the efficiency of the trainer's work after the training. You will apply the knowledge you have gained in jobs related to work safety, health and life protection, including education.
