We hope you know that recreation, tourism and physical activities are important and their positive impact on human life cannot be overestimated. Companies that offer participation in sports activities and help organise tourist trips or sports shows will continue to grow and offer new jobs. By studying Management in Tourism and Sport, you will acquire knowledge and skills for managing a tourism company and a sports organisation. We will prepare you for work in professional sports clubs, fitness centres, tourism associations, local government units, and tourism industry entities – travel agencies, hotels, catering companies, and tourist information offices. By studying Management in Tourism and Sports, you will gain practical skills in:

  • creating a culture of health and leisure time
  • providing comprehensive services for tourist groups (group trips such as school excursions, pilgrimages or holiday group trips)
  • planning and organising tourist and sports events
  • creating an attractive offer of tourist products and services

As a graduate of the specialisation in Management of Tourism and Sports, you will acquire practical organisational and managerial competences as well as communication, motivation, teamwork and management skills.

Specialisation in Sports Tourism

The specialisation prepares you for work in tourism and sports enterprises. The participants in sports tourism are not only sports players, sports club activists and coaches, but also fans. The sports industry is made up of components such as sports, sports spectacles, fitness, recreation, leisure and pleasure articles, as well as various activities, goods, services, places and ideas. These activities are often carried out while travelling. As a graduate of the Sports Tourism specialisation, you will be familiar with, among others, the specifics of management in sports tourism, the legal and organisational aspects of organising sports events, human resources management and volunteering in sports tourism, the planning and logistics of sports events, tourist services and marketing aspects of sports tourism. You will have the opportunity to pursue your professional goals and consolidate your practical organisational and managerial competences in professional sports clubs, organising committees of major sports events, and travel agencies.

Additional information

In choosing the Sports Tourism specialisation, you will participate in a very attractive project of Czestochowa University of Technology called the Integrated Development Programme of Czestochowa University of Technology. You will take part in courses (e.g. as a tour guide, holiday representative), industry lectures (conducted by professionals, specialists in a given field), and participate in field trips in Poland and abroad.

Specialisation in Sports Organisation Management

In contemporary business practice, management as a set of activities aimed at achieving the goals of an organisation using all the available resources is undergoing many profound changes. By choosing the specialisation in Sports Organisation Management, you will be prepared to work in sports organisations to meet the demands of a changing environment. You will find employment in broadly defined sports organisations such as sports clubs, physical culture associations, as well as sports and recreation centres operating in the Polish market. As a graduate of this specialisation, you will be familiar with such issues as the functioning of public benefit entities, insurance in sports, sports facility management, human resources management and coaching in sports organisations. You will have the opportunity to consolidate your practical organisational and managerial skills in sports clubs, and physical culture associations, in addition to sports and leisure centres.

Specialisation in Tourism Company Management

The modern economy is constantly changing, and modern managers need to respond to the challenges of their environment. The tourism industry is also constantly evolving, and competition in the market requires entrepreneurs to be constantly innovative. As a graduate of the specialisation in Tourism Company Management, you will be familiar with the issues related to tourism management, tourist services, quality of tourist services, modern technologies in tourism, hotel and catering, insurance in tourism, marketing of tourism services, as well as accounting and taxation systems in tourism. After completing your studies in Tourism Company Management, you will be ready to work in the tourism industry: tourist associations, local government units, travel agencies, hotels, gastronomy, and tourist information.
